I don't agree with ANYTHING there!!! it's more like a 99.99% chance of Arya becoming rider. If it was that simple, then why couldn't Brom do it??? Brom was a former rider!!! How could Roran, a mere human, get the egg???

Roran would have no reason to go with Eragon. He would just be a liability.

Ok so is Roran. Both I think have the skills to at least govern and lead their own people. Lokk at both of them for example. Nasuada, not just because she is Ajihad's daughter, but she has led and is in charge of the Varden and her kin. Look at Roran...he led and protected many people and has helped them travel from one place to another. I think for both of those reasons they are both fit to rule or at least be in some sort of command. Yes, they are young, but don't great rulers and stuff start out at a young age and become wiser and more intelligent in their later years. I think they both have the skills and plenty of experience, plus the strength and courage to rule.

Yes but if Eragon leaves I don't see him being a leader or in some sort of coucil to see whgat is happening. Eragon will leave because it's part of the prophecy and whoever rules and whatnot is up to the people of Alagaesia...Roran or Nasuada.

We don't know anything about deaths, least of all Nasuadas, yet. So we can't really say...but I don't think she will die because it would sort of be an Ajihad repeat, plus she is already a leader and whatnot...would CP really kill her off and then have another person take command..too much I think.

well like i have said in many other topics about her death ( which will happen) their will be no need for a leader of the varden when the empire is defeated so in that case their is no need of her so she will die a PAINFUL HORRIBLE death

Not all the old people. Look at Arya..shes 71 years old and she hasn't died even though she looks like she is in her mid or late 20's. But he is bringing in a lot of new people and younger characters, yes, but they all have some sort of importance to what is happening and that's why I think he is introducing them.

She is? Last I checked she was 70 years old...sure you aren't mixing her up with another elf. I even remember Eragon saying that she was and she said it herself in the beggining of Eldest..."seven decades" or something like that which would make her 70.

no eragon was talking with oromis and he said she was born and the beggining of the downfall of the riders..i cant remember when in the book but i do remember reading it.. ill try to find it and edit this post if i do

k i think thats not going to happenbecasue its what everybody wants and so far all of the books have been really unexpected...noone expected before Eldest came out that murtagh would be captured by Galbatorix and have a dragon hatch for him which is why i think that theres going to be another really unexpected twist that no one sees coming..it IS the last book we're taling about and CP would want to end it with a bang which is why i think Arya is going to die. Everybody wants her to be with eragon, and become the new Rider but CP nows that so he's gonna do something really big and unexpected like he did in Eldest. I dont want Arya to die but thats most likely going to happen becasue then Eragon will be like really angry and will be able to use his anger against his enemies

i never thought of that. it would be interesting if arya died, though after reading this thread i think that half the people who have posted here would personally kill cp if she did. LOL

i think Roran is going to do something big. whether it be becoming the third rider or the new king he has to or else there was no reason to give him such a big part in the first two books. it may not even be something that big. just something important. (also it has been said that some royal blood still flows in the veins of some people from palancar vally form king palancar so it is possible that roran will be king.)

I decided to reread the books, i just passed the part about Arya being 70. she says :

So that is where you may have got the impression that she is 70. But for her to have severed the varden, she had to have been an adualt to get there since she wasn't born there.


And about Arya and Eragon getting together (i posted this under the topic whethere or not Arya secretly loves Eragon. pg. 14 for those who are interested in the convo.)

I think there is one thing that is being forgoten though. When angela told Eragon his future she said:

"An epic romance is in your future, extrodinary, as the moon indicates - for that is a magical symbol - and strong enough to outlast empires. I cannot say if this passion will end happily, but your love is of noble birth and heritage. she is powerful, wise, and beautiful beyond compare."

Who else is there that is "royalty"? Galby doesn't have any daughters, the varden dosen't have kings and queens, so that only leaves the elves. Arya is all of those things mentioned, and he basicly fell in love with her when he first saw her in his dreams. And i just thought of something... it says the love is "strong enought to outlast empires", so that could be forshadowing to the next book (Empire), that mabey then she will either relize or admit that she loves him, or grow to love him. I think that regardless if she loved him befor, she will come to love him eventually.

I don't know if this was said earlier in the convo. But i think something will happen between Murtahg and Nasauda. The both seemed to like each other, so mabey if/when Murtahg is good he and Nasauda will get together. I hope so.

I really don't think Katrina will die. Roran loves her to much. And he wouldn't be able to forget her easily. He moved the entire town to Surda for her!

if they appear in this book the grey people might be able to help. they are the ones who made the ancient language magic in the first place. and also someone eragon knows could be one of the grey people in hiding.

I was just thinking, what if someone had power over galby. then they would also have power over Murhtagh. Like Arya, she is powerful, and if she does become the next rider, then with the right training, maybe her and Eragon could go after galby, and she's an elf, so she would know galby's real name, then she could control him, and meak him set Murtagh free. a little out there, but it could happen.
