secend i would like to post what i think is going to happen in the next book
me and my friend talk about it all the time
i just finished the 3rd book and have some ideas let me shoot them past you all


we know the heart of hearts well one theory i have is this we all know what salombolm said about finding kelobom(spl) in the stone valt i think that is the heart of teart of galdy first dragon and joed is going to find a way to get in that valt like he did to steal sapheria's egg and and that heart of heart knows galdy's true name and that is how earagon defets him saving mertah and horn and thus alowing the posable mating of saphera/thorn
well i have a lot more "out of the box" theory's comming i want to see were this takes us

anyways this seems like it could happen, although im still sticking with my theory that the vault of souls will be something that lets eragon resurrect ppl.

although the one problem i have with this is that if they discover galby's true name, then that would end the series right there. cuz they could make him kill himself, or make him immobile while they chop his head off or something. unless of course it happens at the very end, then it would be fine.

what were those other theories u mentioned? cuz i have quite a few "out of the box" theories of my own (just read my sig; and those are just the probable ones that i have, i have a bunch more far fetched ones)

lol imagine if that actually happened: they learn his name... then they don't use it
and the VOS could rly be anything at this point... although i still believe it has to do with resurection

i think that it will give him more power enough to have enough power to use the word for the ancient languige and then resurect anyone he wants

first the rock: i think the rock of kuthian (which eragon needs to find in order to access the vault) refers to a dwarf's grave. knurlan are buried in stone (as you know) and oromis said that he would research the rock but he doubted he would find anything about it in ELF history.
second the vault: he probably needs to discover his true name to say to the rock
i have many speculations about the contents of the vault, but none of them seem practical or go with my theory of what the rock is
the "souls" are people who were possibly killed for galby
the "souls" are like the eldunari of the dragons slain by galby
the "souls" are where the eldunari of people reside (if they exist)
the "souls" may not help eragon directly (like the "weapon under the menoa tree" which turned out to be ore) but give him knowledge or something like that

my stuff doesn't really make sense but if it triggers any of your thoughts good, share

oh heres another one, maybe kuthian is th ename of galby's first dragon and the rock is its eldunari. but i could be ignorant. i forget if we learned the dragons name.

oh! or maybe kuthian is the name of the first eragon's dragon and the rock is his eldunari. Arya said that no one knows its name.

wow, that might be the most original theory i have heard so far (except mine about angela being a rider, but that one's just plain wierd). It would also fit nicely in the story.

the only thing i'd like to point out is about the dragon's names, i'm not sure but i think that their names have been stated before in the series... not sure about that though... dont ask me for page numbers or anything cuz i dont know... i think its sometime during brom's many lectures.

hmm ya Brom probably said something that I forgot. maybe it's the true name, but that's probably stretching it a bit far

i rly hope that the VOS will resurrect something. or the name of the AL will. someone must be resurrected or i will be a very sad panda. and if its galby then i might puke. unless osme good guys get resurrected too and then they whip galby's butt for a second time.

i was bringing up harry potter because maybe brom and oromis get resurrected in the same way dumbledore does. thats all i just don't know how to explain that. sry

firstly dumbledore never got resurected, harry talks to his painting at the end.

secondly their have been somethin like three people that have found galby's true name. two elves and a rider, but his true name is protected by spells and if you say his true name u die. arya tells eragon this in eldest.

no at the very end of the book when harry dies and is naked and dumbledore gives him two choices. like i said, i didn't know how to explain. i know he didn't get resurrected but i meant when he talks to harry at the end. thats probably the most anyone else is gonna get resurrected in the inheritance trilogy, or they'll be really resurrected and eragon will die because of it

it would be kinda weird if brom and everyone got ressed. and what about what brom said about how you cant use magic to bring people back to the dead?

@ Free_Flyer: brom said alot of things that werent true... i also think that, to his knowledge, there was no way of ressurecting ppl. but nobody knows exactly what the name of the AL or the vault of souls do

there are many mysteries/wonders in alagaesia so the vault of souls could have the power. And i think that brom probably meant it is past the ability of all magical BEINGS. and the vault of souls is not a being. Also it is a vault of SOULS so who knows? but i think that it has the power to bring back anybody and Eragon will ask for Brom. And Saphira (Brom's dragon) might even come back with him....

i think that that might happen... maybe he would ask for eragon. (the first rider)

I don't think that we will be seeing anyone come back to life. A possibility is that the VOS is just that a vault of the HoH's.

I have a new theory... what if it would release every one who has swore in the ancient language to do something. Then many people wouldn't serve him anymore and join the vardan

While that would be nice, it would be kind of overkill. With something like that happening then Galbatorix would be nothing then the proverbial fish in the barrel. While, he still would be a dangerous fish it would make everything to easy.

I guess nothing in books are that simple, but i guess it would also release anyone who has sworn to the varden...

to make the book interesting, i think that galby has to be somewhat of a challenge.

Tisk tisk. Dumbledore was never 'ressed', when Harry 'died' (Sacrificing himself to be brought back), but before he came back to the world, he had a vision of him and Dumbledore talking. Hugin6 was saying that maybe Eragon will have a premonition of people (anybody; Brom, Oromis..etc) and can have a full conversation with them.

Galbatorix's first dragon was named Jar.. something or other. (His, or her name if you will, is posted in the 'mistakes' thread on this cite.)

Eragon, the first. His dragon was named Bid'daum. The dragon whose name cannot be spoken is the dragon who signed the treaty between the dragons and elves.

In this instance I deamed Harry Potter acceptable.

I was explaining what another person said and I brought in a situation from Harry Potter that happened, that is unlikely, yet possible to happen in the final installment of Eragon.
