I found this whilst reading Eragon again... I thought I might point it out.

I noticed here that Saphira said "Our Wyrds bind us." Wyrda is fate in the ancient language, which meant that she knew the language before she met Brom or even knew about the language. It gets me wondering... What else is she hiding? Any thoughts?

I thought they did though because on page 297 of Eldest, these are the word of Eragon & Glaedr.

"What about our pivacy?" objected Eragon.
Privacy? said Glaedr. Keep your thoughts to thyself when you leave here, if it pleases you, but while we tutor you, you have no privacy.

So after those words, I just thought that they had to reveal everything. Though I suppose Saphira might be able to let some information slither around Eragon without being detected.

i dont think saphira has told eregon everything for example in book 1 eregon questioned her about brom but she did not say and further more they were being trained in 2 different places being trained different things

Arya and Saphira are hiding a lot from Eragon!

Arya's hiding her FEELINGS.

Saphira is hiding the fact that Brom is Eragon's real father.

we dont know that brom is eragons father for sure but its still kinda obvious that arya loves eragon

The best thing CP ever did is come up with Arya and Eragons love
for her. sorry off topic but im new to this sorry.

As for Saphira, I have no idea. That never even occured to me. Brom having hidden instructions makes sense...With your opening point, maybe the ancient language comes to her instinctively.

Those seven words are most likely Eragon's true name, but he might not know their true meaning.

it's a 'true name'. There are a heck of a lot of people and each have a true name, so wouldn't it make sense if they were rather long? *shrug*

Well, Brom IS Eragon's father and all...

Now, what else could those words really be? Seven words. That's all we readers get. It's obvious that Eragon doesn't understand their importance, but that doesn't underplay their importance in the slightest. They are obviously extremely important, otherwise, he would have just died. CP just left us without knowing what they were. Now, what would be important enough to be Brom's last words to Eragon that Eragon wouldn't understand the meaning to? The only thing that really comes to mind is Eragon's true name. It would have been gobbly-gook to him, since it's in the AL and he didn't exactly have a masterful knowledge of the AL at that time.

i think its probably a really powerful spell that could kill eragon if he used it...would make sence!!(once again please excuse spelling)

has anybody noticed this or is it just me 7 words is a bit long for a name dont ya think and a spell for that matter.

i agree with the name thing its too long but it might be a spell..i gess till the book comes out well never know

I think that the seven words are word of death. Words that can kill a person instantly. They might leave eragon so weak that he cant fight. As for Saphira hiding anything she said that brom told her things that she will only reveal in the need arises.

o m g i have people agreeing with me!!!! its likely that eragon will use those word..probably right at the end of the last book
