Lizards and Gekkos and aligators are said to be descendants of dragons. I believe that dragons lived at sometime in this world but have evolved into smaller, flightless creatures.

im not sure if i believe in dragons, id like to, but i have a mind where id need some kind of reliable proof. like seeing one with my own eyes. id like to believe in them, but its like triton of the merpeople, you dont know if hes real or not, because you cant proove or disproove it. you have to go and see.

I believe in dragons, I just don't believe Saphire has seen them. He's just trying to play you. I have my theory that they adopted to the size of basic lizards and are alive deep underground. I wait for the day they find them, I'll get one as soon as they convince activists they're not smart enough to not be pets. Back in the very olden days, dragons lived everywhere from deserts, forests, mountains and oceans or bodies of water. Most could fly but some couldnt due to very short wings but the ones that usually couldnt fly were the water dragons. (the ones that lived in the ocean)


About still existing i doubt they do but i still have a bit of hope that some are still out there perfectly hidden from the world for fear of destruction. Their hiding spot, most likely the Himalayas. Thats just my opinion.

i belive in every magical thing. dragons are real. but we might not know bcuz we find a new species every day so maybe we will find dragons too.

I think some form of a dragon (dragon like animal) exists. Only for the simple fact that all continents had some version of a dragon, long before inter-traveling of the continents. (Celtic Dragon, Asian Dragon etc.) Just like mermaids and the like as well. But, then again, that is just my opinion!

LOL...well, yes, I can believe that would be a remedy for something, back then. But even today, urine is a good antiseptic for wounds when nothing else is available (medically). Could be some merrit to that thought. Many 'wives tales' come from long ago, as do many good myths and loads of magic. Besides, do we really know everything that has been out there, or is even still? How much of the ocean is still unexplored? I mean, if we finally get to the bottom and dig, who's to say there isn't going to be a merfolk skeleton? I mean, we still don't really know how old Giant squid are, why great whites can never be exhibited (not that you'd want to, but they don't do well even when trying to rehabilitate them), or even when archeologist dig, they are still finding new "old" species of some animal. So, it is all just a wonder. But again, THIS IS MY OPINION. Everyone has one. Facts and proof are good, but we can't rule out things just because of lack of evidence. I mean, how long did we think the world was flat?

hey, let's not force opinions. I think they never existed. Just something made up as a symbol for something. For entertainment.

You say there's dragons in nearly every culture? Well the same goes for say, mermaids. People from all over the world believed in mermaids, until somebody noticed that it was just drunken sailors spotting manatees in the sea. The same with unicorns underwater- people thought that unicorns were no longer seen because they ran to the sea. Then it was proved that what people thought were unicorns, were actually narwhals.

Maybe there once was a type of flying reptile. Before people actually wrote down these things, stories were passed on by mouth, of course they are going to get elaborated, until a tiny lizard with skin flaps which looked like wings, was suddenly a huge flying beast that can breath fire.

Yes... it is all about opinions. Also, imagination and believing in something that isn't tactile. Which can also equal hope. You don't want to squash a young persons imagination, because in there, anything is possible. And it also makes for good books like Eragon, LOTR, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, etc. The idea is just magical - for me.
