They're obviously not magical creatures. Or maybe they can, but they just keep it secret like the riders did, so they have an advantage in battle.

I think they on a exoskeleton stage for 20 years (you know, before they turn into... forgot the name, the "Parents"), they really weren't on their perfect shape right now, as ra'zac.

And also, remember that ra'zac is not live to oppose eragon as a rider (it's a "bad luck" for them happened to oppose a rider), they were sent to hunt down Eragon as a farmboy!

They're already given tallent and skill morethan enough to prey and defeat humans trough speed, vision, and strength.. I don't think they need magic anyway...

Every race has its weakness(es). Why can't most humans use magic? Are we stupid? Magical ability has no corralation with intelligence, you can either find the void, or you can't.

and the elves just have more people who can do it, and the ra'zac's parents are lethr'blaka

To use magic you must say some word in anciend language (or in something like this) and they have baek=>it will ne difficuld to have right pronunciation with beak don't you think?

Elves and humans can use magic due to their connection with the dragons, correct? And dwarves use spells they've learned from elves. So, isn't it safe to say that because generations of Ra'zac have not been taught magic or linked with magical creatures, they can not do magic at all?

Ra'zac can't speak normally, so that means maybe thats the biggest gap between them and magic, and remeber it describing eragon reaching for it? maybe they don't have that little bit of magic, any of them.

thats what i siad, eragon woulnd't be able to magic if he didn't have that little "nub" (thats how CP described it) that he breaches to get to the magic so maybe none of the Ra'zac have that "nub"

I have REALLY read AND listened to the books many times and do not recall any excerpt which indicated that Ra'zac could protect their minds. In regard to the Ra'zac and magic , I looked up this for you:

See Eldest page 381 second paragraph: "Though Ra'zac cannot use magic, they are not to be underestimated. If they know you hunt them, they will not reveal themselves but keep to the shadows, where they are strong, and plot to ambush you as they did by Dras-Leona."

I have noticed that you seem to oppose the opinion and thoughts of other posters but never offer facts from the book to uphold your oppositional point of view.

Opinions should be backed by facts and you just, post one opinion in one post and then go ahead and contradict what you just said in another post.

Anyway, I always thought the forum was to discuss the books, clarify things in them that may have not been clear to the reader, share thoughts, try to form theories of what may come to be and so on. There are times when we joke about one thing or the other and write crazy, crazy things and that's what makes this site so much fun. But that is not the impression which I am conveying from your posts.

I think the hissing is a way for the reader to mentally relate them to snakes. Snakes are usually representative of everything evil.

Yep, you are right. Vultures have keen eyes, but not a fist size one like the description given of the Ra'zac.

but if they just tryed to say it they would destroy themselves, if they can even tap into the magic, rmember, the dragons are how you get magic, so if a Ra'zac was never dragon rider (and no dragon would carry a Ra'zac) they could not do magic

so the razac's promblem as i see it is

they cant pronounce the magic or
