why do they call them soap operas? i already mentioned that i don't watch much tv, so no s.o.'s for me.

I think coz ;lots ofa then used to be sponsered by soap type things, like washing-up powderv

It is a show about people anjd their lifes, they all have stroylines, often inter twining with others. For some reason bad things seem to happen to everyone, it is on a street or square or cul de sac normally, it is the best way i have of describing them.

so what's considered a soap opera? from your description it makes it sound like every show i've ever seen.

I have no choose in languages (but I like english in opposite to Russia-sry Shade). I hate soap operas because they're boring and their plot is so cheap! My grandma watch it regularly
