Post The truth revealed
I'm sorry to those who thought Brom was Eragon's father, twas a good guess. But the evidence is brought forth now. Remember in book 1, when Angela told Eragon Solembum only talked to two other people, she said one was his mother Selena, and the other was a blind guy. NOW REMEMBER BOOK THE SECOND, when Eragon was in Ellesmera that bird thing tried to tell him something in the form of a riddle. When Eragon said he didn't understand, the bird said "Like father like son, your as BLIND as a bat."

I really don't know how anyone could miss that, but I was chain reading and had only read Angela's fortune about a week before the bird. Hold the applause, I’m only a gloating human.

Now all we got to do is find out who in the series is blind.

well, solembum only talks to magic users, so the "blind man" has to know magic. it could have easily been Brom in disguise.

this one incidence does not rule out the plithora of evidence for him being Brom. it doesnt because Angela could have been dicieved to believe that the man was blind. she, in this instance, is not a reliable source.

let me introduce you to rule 1 C: You should not use bad words in your posts.

and rule 3 C: Be kind, but be yourself unless your normal self is a Jerk.

Brom said, “She was full of dignity and pride, like Garrow. Ultimately it was her downfall, but it was one of her greatest gifts nevertheless. . . . She always helped the poor and the less fortunate, no matter what her situation.” He answered to Eragon’s question, “You knew her well?”, “Well enough to miss her when she was gone.” Also, Blagden said “Son and father alike, both as blind as bats” after being asked what his first prophesy ment. This denotes that Blagden had met Eragon's father. Morzan had never gone to Ellesmera, though Brom had. On pg. 435 of Eragon, Angela saya, "He (Brom) loved a woman, but it was his affection which was her undoing." Selena finally realizes thta Morzan is using her. She wants revenge. She may have been helping the Varden when she meets Brom, or the other way around: she meets Brom, falls in love with him, and helps the Varden by helping Brom get the egg, as well as take down others of the Wyrdfell. She was carrying Brom's child and Morzan found out OR she fears that he will do the same to this baby as Murtagh. She runs away went to Carvahall. Then Galby sends a legion after her and they go into the spine. somehow they all die and she is barely living. She goes back to Carvahall and has Eragon. She then runs off again, and either goes back to the castle directly, Morzan dead, or he's alive and he captures her. If he is alive, he kills Selena, then the enraged Brom goes and kills Morzan. If Morzan is dead, then Selena probably had a part in it. Then Brom goes to Carvahall to keep an eye on his son. Garrow kinda blames him for the death of Selena, so he moves from town. Either that, or to protect him: if Brom is found, then Eragon will be safe.

u r very good at getting urself banned. and lol. i agree w/ one point. Katara doesn't love Zuko, but she doesn't exactly love Aang. And don't pull the book 2, chapter 2 thing. there was a guy and a girl 2getr in "the cave of 2 lovers" and it was dark, there hope of getting out erased from their minds, so what would you do???!!! lol....this sounds like it belongs on my forum.... whoops!!! way off topic!!!

the other stuff isn't blasphemy, except for Naruto Rules, which IS blasphemy. i have a good argument for each of the Eragon related things though.

I see no truth revealed here. Maybe I too am "blind as a bat." Just as long as no one comes out saying Morzan was one of my husbands......

Sorry!!
I agree with Ladyofthelost being blind might be the physical blind but to something else.
Maybe Morzan over-looked something that caused something horrible to happen or something making him 'blind' to the situation at hand???

If I am to analyze the "blind as a bat" thing, I would say it refers to Brom; Brom blindly idolizing Morzan while they were peers under Oromis' tutalage. Brom believing as Oromis says, (in Eldest, on page 280) "...never believed that he could best Morzan in any venture." So I relate the blindness as to Brom's admiration, not a physical blind person. We have not met anyone as such during the series. Just Angela's brief mention during her conversation in which she mentioned that and Selena to Eragon.

I hate making predictions cause most of the time I can get them right, so when I read a book or watch a movie and I already know whats going to happen, it just takes all the fun of discovery out of it.
