I think she died of grief and sadness, and she couldn't run any longer so she died.

there weren't twins. Murtagh is older. and *sigh* i have said this forever... here is my boatload of evidence:

This denotes that Blagden had met Eragon's father. Morzan had never gone to Ellesmera, though Brom had. On pg. 435 of Eragon, Angela saya, "He (Brom) loved a woman, but it was his affection which was her undoing."

So what happened was she was carrying Brom's child and Morzan found out. She went to Carvahall and had Eragon. She then ran off, running from Morzan, was caught, and then killed. This enraged Brom and Brom went and killed Morzan. Later, he went to Carvahall to keep an eye on his son, Eragon.

that is the lot of it. it's enough to prove it I think.

i think that there is a bit different order to things: she is in love with Brom, and THEN she helps him get the egg. Then she runs away, then the legion, then she goes to carvahall, then she gives birth, runs, and then she goes back and is killed by Galby somehow, to make it seem like illness.

so i guess that Garrow knew about Brom's involvement, so he blames him for her death, which is why he left and went out of the village.

i'm not saying it was anyone's fault, but that doesn't mean that Garrow can't blame someone and be resentful. he's human, and thusly suseptable to doing wrong (i'm not talking about the races in Alagaesia, just how we use it).

i think that such a thing never happened, the way i see it, Brom fought Mozan because he ran into Morzan when Brom stole Saphira's egg.

Check out page 388-9 Murtagh explains Morzan was summoned to hunt for Saphira's egg. As soon as Morzan left, so did she. Selena returned to his castle before knowing about Morzan's death. Her health then was poor and she dies 14 days afterwards. So they way I see it Brom fought Morzan , and he had many reasons to do so. If he included as him (Morzan) being what separated Brom from Selena in his long list of grievences, we do not know YET!!! Anything is possible.

Brom is dead, but Eragon is ALIVE, and he promise to avenge his death and make the Ra’zacs pay for all what they have taken away from him! Once he finds out Brom was his father he'll be implacable!!

Don't be afraid to state your opinion! First of all, Angela's fortune for Brom gives it away. Brom regrets the loss of HIS Saphira and Selena, which is too obvious!

LOL!!! As I see it, we again come to the underlying, ever present theme of the series; making choices. Selena made a choice when she fell in love with Morzan and chose to follow him. Since we are not told much of here living days, we can only speculate...

She didn't fall in love with morzan
she was grateful
than blinded and got pregnant

then fell in love with brom after realizing her mistake

but that love obviously didn't last

Eragon's father is Brom, Murgtah isn't his brother, but he is in a way

This lasted for three years until she became pregnant. I would think once she was separated from her first and newborn baby the resentment would have started until she stopped loving him.

yup! lol. that's basically what happened.

i just got surgery on my big toe cuz i had an ingrown toenail w/ an infection... the doctor had to kill off my rootbed on the side of the nail. and it HURTS!!!

That's nasty and painful at the same time. How did you get an ingrown toenail anyway?

this is kinda off topic, but i'll answer anyways: I have high arches, high insteps, and pronate. That makes you very susceptable to ingrown toenails. I had to have 4 needles to put my toe to sleep with local anethetics.
