I reckon that the famed elf sword maker rhunon will break her oath and make a blue sword for eragon. It makes sense. think about it.

No I don't think she will break her oath. The swords that are needed are there and she will not make another sword. Believe me.

if eragon begged long enough she'll probably give in, although she still is bound by the oath she made in the ancient language

she cant unless she was extremely tricky and found a way around her oath

likely, eragon will find either a blue sword or perhaps the sword of the original eragon, the gem of which might possibley hold a large amount of magic, stored in it long ago or someting, but stones cant hold it forever, just beter than anyting else

No, shes an elf, dont think she would break her oath, but it be great if she did, remember when she looked at saphiras scales and says "good colour, it would have made a wonderfull sword," she seemed very tempted...

No rhunon (forgotten how to spell her name properly, will not break her oath. She will teach orik how to make swords and the secret of her craft and then he will make eragon a new sword (one that would have been used by the riders so a proper riders sword.)

I stick with my theory.

This theory is probably the best I've heard on this topic. The only thing Rhunon will do is help give the sword its eternal sharpness. She will not have broken her oath as she will only have given an item magical properties. Besides the dwarf work would be of greater quality as Rhunon's own skill of forging came from a master dwarf smith. (cant remember the name and cant be bothered to look for it in the book (if someone finds it tell me so i can edit this)).

I like the idea that Orik creates the sword, but I think that Eragon will find his sword elswere like from one of the two families that still have two swords in thier posetion. But I don't think that Rhunon will break her oath. Eragon will get a sword we'll just have to wait for the Third Book.

this is a little sstupid but what if after he kiills galby his sword turns blue?or after he kills the ra'ack(sp).idk

I think he gets a sword that is blue before he fights Galby in the first place.

yea lol, obviously...but its sort of differnt, if izlanzadi had the sword thn it would belong to Arya aswell....Arya could possibly give Eragon the sword b4 the next battle

Yes that is a very posible. But then what of the Menoa Tree or is that where he would get the sword froam Arya, but I hope it play more than a part then just a meeting place.

The Linnea family has a sword that they took from Brom and Brom had a blue dragon, so I think he gets the sword from them and there is another sword with another family for the third dragon rider.

maybe arya is a descendant of the menoa tree lady, and the theory of eragon getting the weapon from the menoa's roots will fit in.

One of the family's name is Linnea, the woman who stood in front of the Ellesmera tree for a real long time.

So are there any decendents of her family or do we not know. Arya might be her decendent.

We also know that Brom sorta got into a fight with that family and they have his sword so yeah he'll probably get the sword from them.

He got in a fight with them what Page is that on? and that would explain alot.

It's been awhile since I've read Eldest, but it's in there somewhere, I think Arya explains it somewhere. When maybe she explains about the tree, but I can't totally rememeber Sorry. Been awhile.
