this is my opinion:

-i think eragon is broms son and thats why brom went to carvahall, to watch his son grow up, also brom said he knew selena enough to miss her when she was gone

-i think orik is the next rider because there have never been dwarf riders, and he has already riden saphira which is a first. orik also being a rider could also calm down all the dwarfs that are not happy about the return of the riders.

-i do not think eragon is morzans son, and murtagh said this in the ancient language because he believes it because galbatorix told him this

-i think galbatorix gains power every time someone in alagaesia dies.

i've been saying that Brom is Eragon's father for a long while. here's my evidence:

Brom said, “She was full of dignity and pride, like Garrow. Ultimately it was her downfall, but it was one of her greatest gifts nevertheless. . . . She always helped the poor and the less fortunate, no matter what her situation.” He answered to Eragon’s question, “You knew her well?”, “Well enough to miss her when she was gone.” Also, Blagden said “Son and father alike, both as blind as bats” after being asked what his first prophesy ment. This denotes that Blagden had met Eragon's father. Morzan had never gone to Ellesmera, though Brom had. On pg. 435 of Eragon, Angela saya, "He (Brom) loved a woman, but it was his affection which was her undoing." So what happened was she was carrying Brom's child and Morzan found out. She went to Carvahall and had Eragon. She then ran off, running from Morzan, was caught, and then killed. This enraged Brom and Brom went and killed Morzan. Later, he went to Carvahall to keep an eye on his son, Eragon.

now the thing about orik is wrong. the dwarves were never included in the magic that bound the fates of the elves, humans, and dragons. they can not become riders and are discusted by the prospect of being linked with a dragon.

Now ARYA is going to be the next rider. check my sig for the main baisis of my theory. PLUS it would create balence. there needs to both be a female and an elven rider, and Arya is the only character we know who fits those criteria.

i see were your coming from about orik, but orik being a rider would prevent any more blood feuds centered around eragon..plus it would be a GREAT twist!

ok chill out! the title of this board is MY theory, get it? its only my theory! you dont have to get upset over a 13 year old girls view about a book!!!! but dont you think the ceremony to put dwarves in the spell would be a great ending? once again, just my opinion.

why are the magority of newbs so clueless? lol. It's inexperience. you need evidence to base a theory, or it's just a guess. not a theory.

fine, then thats my guess! and just because my account is new, it doesnt mean i am less expierenced, or dumber, than anyone else here! and i do see where your coming from, and it does make more sense, but you or i cant be right or wrong until we've read the 3rd book, and since we have not read it yet, its just as likely that eragon will turn purple and spotted and join a travelling circus.

I think I pretty well agree with I'MNOTCRAZY on all your theory except one part: Selena wasn't killed by Morzan. When Murtagh and Eragon were first captured by the Varden and Murtagh told his life story, he said that his mother (whom we later find out is Selena) disappeared while Morzan was out searching for Saphira's egg. She was gone for several months and then returned in very poor health, like she had suffered a great illness. Murtagh said that within a fortnight of her return to Uru`baen she died. So....Morzan couldn't have killed her if she returned to Uru`baen while he was gone, and he never made it back because Brom killed him.
But all else I agree with, not too sure about the Arya part tho

Me neither, I don't agree with the Arya theories, I'd much prefer Roran to be getting all the abilities, don't you think?

How would that be? He can't go back and have a child or else he'd already be dead and so would the 1st Eragon.

I don't think Orik can be included in the spell for him to be a dragon rider. He might not mind riding on Saphira, but he doesn't enjoy it.He's afraid of heights.

Eragon2 and Arya could not have created Eragon1 because: 1. It would take too much energy 2. Eragon asked Arya if he could scry one of his memories, andshe explained that its impossible, and what use would that be? plus, Eragon and Arya would have to know the exact time, place and when. 3. It has been tried before, and the spellcasters died because of the energy and strength it costed.
Thats one of my little thoughts.
Argue with it if you want, its just evidence that Arya and Eragon did not go back in time to create Eragon1.
