Post Alagaesia Map
Has anyone notcied that the map of Alagaesia kinda stops at certain places??
Du Weldenvarden is only shown with half its forest missing and the Boer Mountains arent all shown???? Could this mean that Alagaesia could be alot bigger than CP tells or that its just unknown area??????
Someone help me plz!!lol

how do you know its half, not only a small part of the forest. there is more land out there, they talk about it being unknown. perhaps the vault of souls is there somewhere, or could be guarded by something

i think the other places are the places that haven't been discovered yet. but how do we know that it's alagaesia? caterpillar! a thought just occured to me! what if the lands past du weldenvarden and the beor mountains AREN'T part of alagaesia? then, in that case, since eragon promised to help saphira find more dragons, he would go to the unknown lands AND STAY THERE FOREVER!! then, instead of going across the oceans, he would just simply cross some mountains/forests!! :D :D :D

I...just presumed that the areas beyond the borders of the map were not important to the story, and therefore Paolini did not see the need to flesh them out.

But if there is more free space than why elves and vardens bother to fight? They could just wave to Galby send him wishes for great future and leave. :?

but they don't know where to go! besides, the varden are fighting for other people's rights as well, they would kind of just abandon them if they just suddenly leave.

well the varden and the elves are all safe enough where they are, surda's dangerous, but the elves are in a far safer place. and that'd kind of ruin the story.

i think twice the empires land meant the hadarac and surda, but probably the "unknown lands" too

well, i seem to recall that brom (or someone) said that the hadarac desert and beyond (meaning all the way to the beors) was far out of galby's control. so i think that when they say "the riders controled twice the land", i think it just means all hadarac and "beyond".
