 Ideas for thought and Discussion
I was re-reading eragon, and noticed a few things that havn't shown up in the story yet but seem important. please post your thoughts and discuss (aka: argue) about them.
When Brom is telling his story, he says that "He [Galbatorix] and his new disciple [Morzan] hid themselves in an evil place where the Riders dared not venture."---What place would be so evil that the Riders feared to go there? It seems like it might be important, but I don't know where it could be.
Why did the Ra'zac freak out when they saw the symbol on Zar'roc? Just because it was morzan's?
Why did the Varden's theif only get one egg? and why did he flee with it?
Will the seven words Brom told Eragon as he lay dying have any importance in book 3? (i borrowed that idea from someone on here, but idk who, sorry)
just see what you think of these ideas, and maybe tell whether you think they will impact book 3.

Re: Ideas for thought and Discussion
There's something I came across in Eragon which would give evidence to the possibility that Morzan is Eragon's father. It's when Brom first gives Eragon Zar'roc.
"Consider it (Zar'roc) yours. You have more claim to it than I do."
If Eragon is Brom's son then Brom would have kept it until shortly before he died and then pass it on as "inheritance", Brom did win it, after all.
If Eragon is Morzan's son then the sword should belong to him because, as far as I'm concerned, your own son holds higher ranking in inheritance matters than your killer.

good point. i always thought that morzan was his father, never brom, til i read it hear, and i sort of was thinking along those lines, but you have a point. maybe ppl just are wishing brom was his father, or maybe he said that because eragon was the current rider, and brom wasn't. i hadn't thought of that though

Too true most wish it were brom As for that evil place siegemaster * looking on map* I doubt its in the beor mountain or du weldenvarden though it could be the spine, an island or maybe even helgrind. Maybe galby showed the raz zac how good helgrind is as a hiding place?

that or a place of wild magic. We heard about those and that would be a great source of power.

Re: Ideas for thought and Discussion
i agree with IMNC, such a place might have dark magic, or a place in the spine, as its so unexplored, it could easily hold many places strange or powerful

Re: Ideas for thought and Discussion
Helgrind could be overflowing with dark magic. You never know! We need bk III to find out if it does.
