I think PG or PG-13 simply because of the fact that this is going to have to be somewhat scary!

the scary part of eragon movies maybe with the battle vs urgals, blood shed and everything. When i'm reading the book i wondered how the director would picture the scene..

I dont think the first one is even close to R but in the second when eragon looks at orimis to SEE what he looks like without clothes

i think they skip much about his training, for example the bath.

I have to say, they probably will cut the bath scene. (After all, that is pretty inappropriate for a movie.

I am going with the PG-13 because of the battle scenes.

these kind of movies are almost always PG-13 (although in my country it'll just be called 12+ )

If its not PG-13 because its R: then they will alienate the audience forcing only older teens\adults to watch the movie.

if its not PG-13 because its PG: Then they took out way too much and the movie just won't be as interesting, realistic, and will also be lacking many scenes (such as many already mentioned, Arya healing, Saphira attacking anyone (I'm sorry, but huge, sharp claws ripping through anyone is going to be bloody and violent and short of just not showing Saphira attacking, which is going to be very disappointing, is it not going to be bloody.)

Also realize they aren't going to have EVERY SINGLE SCENE in the book. Especially in Eldest and BookIII which are much longer. Only the relevent scenes(though, to show the cruelty of the Empire, they will probably have the Arya healing.)

PG-13, I'd imagine. But that's what I guessed for the harry potter movies.

Still, Garrow's wounds, Saphira getting shot with arrows a bazillion times, yada yada yada, probably PG-13.

U know PG and PG 13+ is almost and pretty much the same thing!

1:G will be too childish

2: PG-PG13+ is still a little too childish but fitsa few scenes like punches and kicks but no swrdfights

3: R18+ is for 'More than Extreme', more then the creme-de-la-creme bloody parts like in Kill Bill

4: MA15+ , I dunno, it fits well with Arya being healed if she had NO clothes on whatsoever and a few disgustingly bloody battle scenes like in Braveheart

5: But M (maybe 15+ too) would fit it perfectly (this should have been one of the selections also)
5i: They could show Arya being healed like her stomach, arms, back, head, and maybe the lower legs. They will prbably have coverings on her b**bs (sorry admin! what else am i supposed to say? Dont ban me pls ) and more coverings from her waist down to her knees and the rest is left uncovered. This will still make it possible to her being healed w/o the erotic parts of her

5ii: In the fight scenes there will still be wounds but less blood, The wound making will be also less dramatic. This way Farthen Dur will still be possible. Ok there can be a tiny bit of blood like if someone has a gash on their forehead and are groping around. Blood spurting everywhere is not a good idea. The wound making sounds will not be heard as much.

5iii: Because it's M little tiny children will not be able to see it as it is based on a slightly gruesome scale yet older teens from 11/12 - Adults will still be able to handle it.

I meant to check PG-13 but the mouse slipped and I didn't notice until I had already clicked "submit". Instead I put PG which is close enough.

I would say PG-13, especally with the urgal war and all the other conflicts. I think that the part where Eragon heals Arya is not going to be much other than the back and showing her tattoo. Also an acceptable age group for the readers in comparison to the movie.

pg-13 most likely. i don't think the content is enough for an R rating. there's action, and violence and stuff but i doubt it will even come close to an R rating.

There isn't enough violence (and other things) to make it R, but I think this movie is most likely going to be PG-13 like LOTR.

I have no doubt whatsoever that this movie will be rated PG-13.And probably for sequences of fantasy violence and fighting images,also a fair amount of blood violence.
