Its says the name of the ancient language can contorl everyone who speaks it. So that means that anyone that knows it could take over the entire elf race. Same thing with the true names of people but only elfs know naturally when there born

OK, back to the topic; If Alagaesia was to be the name of the ancient language, how would "having all the power" work within the plot. As i see it, then every perosn who said the word "Alagaesia" would have tremendous power. So it doesn't make sense to me for it to be Alagaesia.

To control the land, you have to have then name of alagaesia, and conjure it into a really powerful spell. Not only that, but it would require HUGE amounts of power.
