 Roran and the urgal farmers
i heard from my freind from school called eric that
after galby is dead roran becomes king, urgals get a piece of land to make their country, the roran makes peace with urgals, and teaches them farming skills.... and ... every one is happy the end

i dont think so........ but you cant farm in the hadarac....... not enough water unless thay had wells but that woudnt really work....... so i think the urgals would go to the other side of the hadarac wher there is water

Why would you think Roran would become king??? Other than killing the Twins, leading carvahall to Surda, and being Eragon's cousin??? He isn't of royal blood or anything!!!

But these aren't reasons that the entirety of Alagaesia (other than surda, Du Veldenvarden, and the Beors) should bow to him!!!

He might have some of King Palencar's blod in him, but he was upsurped by the Riders, so it wouldn't matter!

Well, at least he's not retarded!
Getting back on track, there are no reasons that 3/4 of Alagaesia should bow to him!

dut proabably a big book none the less, roran has already evloved though they are minor changes the leadership qualties in him have come forth and his people (carvhall) have trust in him. I can see Roran becoming King and having lots of advisors and being taught how to do math and read and get a basic education I mean Nausauada (spelling) could be a combat advisor because she has that expereiance and the elfs helping to rebuild Alageasia and the dwarfs helping also because they ahve experiance in building. Though thier distrust of humans Eragon has helped them and when SAphria heals the star rose the dwarfs should have great trust in ERagon and Saphria and so ii think they would trust roran also because thier related and Dwarfs take alot of pride in bloodlines. Also the Dragons would help cus saphria would mate with one of the dragons and then we would get a whold new generation of dragons. They would also help Roran with Kingship

No, i dont think so.
Besides, dwarves are almost like Orik. They might hate something but they know it's neccesary. The urgals have proven to be allies.

Wouldn't that be the perfect ending. Ok it certainly is possible, no doubt, anything is...but I think it's too much of a good ending or perfect for that matter. Plus I should add that I don't think that Roran will take the throne, for me I think it will be Nasuada instead. The urgals may very well get land in the end, who knows, but I am just not too sure. Hmm...something to think about but, somehow I am doubting it will happen this way.

I know...I am just saying that, for me I don't think it may happen like that or in that sort of way. I do believe that they can probably can farm and whatnot. Just for me I don't think it will happen that way...hmm...

We all know that; afterall it was the price Nar Garzhvog requested in change of fighting for the Varden.
"Blood, Galbatorix's blood. And if the Empire falls, we ask that you give us land, land for breeding and growing, land to avoid more battles in the future. Eldest 609

Well then I think it's pretty much answered right there. Makes you wonder though how much land and where exactly would it be. Has to be somewhere green or something where there is growth and whatnot, I think the Urgals would like that after all that they have done and been through so far in the books.

If Eragon could move water from the river onto the burning plains, thusly puting out the fires, the burning plains would have some of the most fertile soil anywhere! (I was just thinking)

If you take a look at the map of Alagaesia, you would not only wonder but really ask what place would Nazuada be able to give them.? The Beor MOuntains is inhabited by the dwarves, DuWeldenvarden by the Elves, except for the Hadarac desert, the rest is occupied by Humans. No wonder the Kulls wanted to negotiate. They have no place to settle!

I didn't think of the Spine as there are some human settlements up and about. But you're right on that! The Spine is huge and after all, it was where Galbatorix lost half his army. I wonder, where had the Kulls settled before they increased in numbers?

Yes The Spine would be a good place seeing as there are already Urgal villages, am I right? Anyways I rather think The Spine would be well suited since it goes throughout Alalgaesia and it's really big so I think they would have enough land. LOL! I think they might like it in the Hadarac...just kidding...they'd probably fry or something..hehe! Nah..The Spine would probably be the perfect place for them to settle into.

Umm...didn't the Urgals want somehwere where they could be happy and have growth and whatnot. Besides the name doesn't exactly inspire something good...it's a thought though...

Nah sine they already live in the Spine and all and have been settled there for many years, eve more, they would probably just settle back in the Spine again...but then there are other places as well I suppose.

That's right, Eldest 618, confirmed it. "So many images and sensations flashed between them, Eragon almost lost track; Garzhvog's childhood with the other members of his brood in a ramshackle village built deep in the heart of the Spine; his dam brushing his hair with an antler comb and singing a soft song..."
Thanks, Fronzz!

Yes it is possible, I'm not sure the urgals would want to farm all the time though, they might want to do some other thing for their life.

There aren't many other ways for the land to sustain you: foraging, herding, hunting, fishing, and farming. Farming is the most dependable. They already have prime hunting grounds.

What DO urgals really do?
And maybe Urgals are Carnivores. So they wouldnt need to farm, I never recall hearing about what they eat.

Definatly they are more primative, but I dont know what they live off of, I think they are like humans, but it doesnt specify their nutritional needs anywhere that I am aware of.

I don't think the dwarves would let them stay in Tronjheim, I'm sure some dwarf clans would rebel and fight against the urgals.

Yeah so I'm thinking they're not going to let the urgals into Tronjheim, they killed many of the dwarves in the war at Tronjheim and they're not about to forget about that.

hihi, i guess, trnojheim is pretty much the worst place for an urgal to stay. the dwarfs would tear them appart, besides that they would never agree to let them stay in farthen dur. and you can't really farm there, can you?
they could settle somewhere in the east near (or better not that near =P) Heddarth, or whatever its called.
there is no1 they could annoy or assault, because there are no elves, humans or dwarfs living. they have land to farm and they have water and everything they need, including game for hunting.

That's what I'm saying that they would be shunned and attacked non stop. No, they have farms outside the mountains near that one dwarven city.
It's called Hadarac.
I'm pretty sure that's where they want to stay.

Maybe, he's going back to where his ancestors (the humans) came from, maybe to kill all ra'zacs who might live there or for some other reason we don't know yet.

What land will Nasuada allot them is to be seen. Wherever it is, I am assuming by the conversation held with Nar Garzhvog, it should be arable land for farming.

How about the Hadarac or The Spine? I bet that's why so many people disapear when they go into the Spine because the Urgals live there.

It is mentioned that Nar Garzhvog's tribe lived in the Spine, but they needed more lands to farm. And the desert is just that, a desert. They couldn't use it to farm.

LOL! DuWeldenvarden does not belong to Nasuada to give or negotiate. It is the elves realm, but it's a huge area, who knows?

Then the mountains, or around the mountains where the other dwarves farm then.
