 Re: High FlyingRema continued flying ahead, until she saw another dragoness about her age, light her scaled on fire. She said to herself, This race will be more interesting than I once thought, I may have some competition. but, she had no real time to think, Na'ir was gettign ahead and she could not allow that. Rema began to flap her wings with an extra effort, and soon she was so far away, she could no longer see Sharktooth, but she wasn't looking for that, but the tall rocks that were the next obstacle.

Re: High Flying A chuck of the hydra's face hit Jason when he wasn't looking. EW!! Thanks for the warning Sirius, Jason chuckled. He looked over and saw all the other dragons were far ahead. Yeah, no problem guys we just risked are lives to save you. No thanks needed! He yelled at them, though no of them probably heard. He propelled himself through the air and flew along side Sirius.Sharktooth was well behind them and the next challenge was coming into view. Are you serious? Tall rocks? Come on, they better be like exploding tall rocks, Jason complained. As everyone flew through the ricks it became apparent that the rocks weren't the obstacle, but the creatures that rested there. Harpies. They let out a high pitched screech and flew after everyone of the competitors in small groups of two to four. Jason was one of the unlucky ones that got more attacking him. As he swatted some away with his tail and lit some on fire, they were only replaced by another harpy.

IC: Alna'ir watched the oncoming harpies carefully, awaiting her chance. She had located a hidden tunnel near the bottom of the rocks, which was invisible to the other dragons. She waited for the harpies to swarm upwards, some of the clumps heading towards her, before twisting her wings and shooting through the flock with barely an effect on the creatures. She pulled her body up in a quick, jerking motion just before she collided with the cliff, and disappeared under a rock that was blocking the tunnel from view. She shot out the other side and was away before the harpies had figured out what was happening. Sirius came up from behind, his natural speed allowing him to overtake several dragons. He eyed the harpies as he drew nearer. He noted Na'ir's secret escape with relief at her safety. Sirius drew in a breath and let it out in a wide cloud of starfire. The silver flames tinged with white bathed the front of the rocks as Sirius passed, burning a few unlucky harpies and blinding the ones near the dragon. He soared overhead without incident, but was met with a subsequent flock of harpies on the other side. Sirius snapped out his talons and tore his way through using tooth and claw, wincing as the harpy talons managed to cut through the scales on his wing-arm. He turned his head around and snagged the harpy, shaking it back and forth in his powerful jaws to break its spine. Isabell look at the strange creatures, they called them harpies. This would not be good. Instanly she was slowed down. Pretty soon she was next to the boy Jason. She was one out of the corner of her eye about to attack him and she barely had time to kill it. She smirked at him. Thanks with the hydrid. She then lit her scales on fire, which was beggining to really take a toll on her energy, and flew threw the rocks, trying to keep up, and burning the harpies. _________________ Word of the Week: potato Eldunari Forums! Re: High Flying Rema never saw the harpies coming. She was watchign ahead of herself, and unknowingly lowered her altitude, leaving her open to attack. Three harpies attacked her at one time, latchign onto her wings and biting at her scales. Rema roared angrily and breathed a powerful stream of white fire on them to get them to "back off". She flapped her wings hevily to knock them away, then dove into the water. She swam strongly, until she was on the other side of the tall rocks and launched into the air. She saw that Na'ir was well ahead, so quickened her pace, until she was equal with the other dragoness. She said, Some race, eh? and began to fly to a higher, more safe altitude.
