I was sent by The Glenwing to educate you in proper roleplaying and general performance as a human being. The first lesson is as follows:

People Think. I know you're all sarcasticly muttering "wow, he's totally blown my mind" at the moment but you'd be suprised how many times it has to be said to really bad RPers.

"Erais started to run into the spine."

Why is she running? I would think a traveler would walking so they might travel more then twenty minutes a day. Is she charging Urgals? Is she evading pursuit? Is she simply wishing to make it to the foot of the mountian so that she may have had some real progress? For something completly differant the spine is rather large, where exactly is she near it? Around Teirm? Near Carvahall? Kuasta mayhaps? What is she thinking and feeling? Elation? Anger? Hung over?

One of my awful posts is of the response of a boy being asked to dance by a rather large hottie.


You'll see I was being asked to dance and still had more detail then an opening post. (Which as a guideline should explain rather a lot. I mean a lot.)

lol ill be honest I voted the only one in being less rude becuase I have seen some people in these fourms who get really REALLY mad at people who just post in ther story sayn 'this need this and that needs that' im not saying you shouldnt do it but just as a heads up lol...

Rping is like someone starts a story in eragons world or ther oun and people just jump right in and play along or you could ask and just tell the story yourself.A short Example:

When he got there he met alot of people including (there character here) and we trained together.


If you want to ask someone somthing not in the story then use OOC(out of character) for example:

After a hard day of training Grimly was getting tired so he decided to go home.


Some rules are you cannot controll somone elses character without permisstion and you have to be considerate of there side of the story. If you have your character just go off and kill everybody they will most likly tell you to leave and if you don't actions from admins will most likly be taken.

if i don't have any specific character, can i join other's story? I mean, if someone have this character "Erais", does she/he have to use "Erais" everytime she/he join other's RP?

Way to go! I think no one is every PERFECT at RPing, even if you've been doing it for years. help is always appreciated.

well, if your character has been accepted, make another one if you want to use it. Only accepted characters can be used, no exceptions. No limit to amount of characters, try to keep it down though to save hassle.
