Who says it can't be a dwarf? There have never been any dwarven riders before, but that doesn't mean this one can't be!

i doubt that there will be one after all the dragons did eat there flocks on a regular basis

Perhaps the egg will just hatch because the dragon inside is tired of waiting for a rider, and choose to have no rider. It's not like it can be forced to have a rider can it?

it can't hatch until the person destined to have it is in presece and the thing i said that dwarves cant be riders is true because remeber the enchantment the elfs and the dragons made to let theem be bound together was made. the humans were added later on but the dwarves wouldnt so i dont think that there will be a dwarf rider

ya i think that is both possible and impossilbe its weird. one he might be a rider because he is part of eragons family and all the eggs are hatching for his family. but i don't think he would be a rider because he would want to out live katrina and live without her

That's true, and he is part of eragon's family, but not directly, he is only his cousin. There should be another brother/sister instead of cousin so it follows the pattern.

There has to be a balance. Arya has dedicated her life in benefit of the dragon race. So it is most probable that she will be the one.

Murtagh (Human) - Thorn*
Arya (Elvan) - Unhatched egg

The probabilities of the * ones to survive the story are limited. so if Eragon ans Arya's dragons survive, there we would have a new generation of Riders and Dragons.

because in Eragon, the dragon on the cover was blue and the dragon in the book, in Eldest, the dragon on the cover was red and the new dragon in the book was red, and it is rumored that the dragon on the cover will be green.

did anybody else get from the book that the dragons eggs were the same color as they were? i kinda infered that from the reading cause saphiras egg was blue and she turned out blue- coincidence?

yeah i think thats how its supposed to be. blue egg, blue dragon. red dragon, red egg ect.
