I just thought about this, if you all remimber solbums advice and Arya saying there was no weapon under it then what if a DRAGON EGG is under it that no one knew about and Eragon found it then they do like Arya did with Sahires egg and take it between the Varden and Elves and then find a new rider to help Eragon KILL gabby.....that would be sooooooooo kool !!!!!!

A dragon egg under the tree... so there were third egg and fourth egg left, that means it would required 2 riders. Still--two of those dragon (IF they hatched), are baby dragons--in order to get powerful in time they really need a powerful rider (not the one like Eragon who started from peasant)

Plus, why would Eragon get the first Eragon's sword, seeing as he had a WHITE dragon. It is either Brom's sword, or that one elf who made swords (sorry, im still not full awake and i can't remember her name) made him one, then felt bad about breaking her pledge and hid it.

ive said this before and ill say it again, a bow or ranged weapon is useless because most mages and all riders would have wards like in the big battle in Eldest stopping them from being touched by arrows

I agree with skulblaka. I thought earlier that it might be a bow, but in the same post I stated that the only logical thing for it to be, since he already has a bow, is a sword. Whose sword or what it looks like, we won't know until they decide to publish the final book.

i do believe there will be a sword of some sort under the tree, not a dragon egg. it would be really surprising if it was am egg under it the whole time though

Anytime. But that's the truth. I'm sure Glaedr would have known if there was a hidden dragon egg in Ellesmera. Before anyone says anything about spells, think about it. Dragons are creatures of magic, just like elves. Only one difference, dragons are way stronger than an elf any day. So spells on the egg wouldn't of shielded it enough for Glaedr not to sense it.

It might be something like a giant energy transformer that has tons of energy in it but is as small as a book, so Eragon can't run out of energy quickly

The books are set in a medieval like setting. I highly doubt it.

There will be a dragon egg underneeth the tree, Eregon will give the Egg to Ayra to keep safe just like she did for Saphira. I know all of you are wondering but what will Eragon have for a weapon. The Sword craftsmen (I forgot the name at the present) will see that Eraon is important to the elves and will make a sword for him.

it could be a book with a spell in it tht shows how a rider, mage etc can use magic with out usin there own energy at all, i have a theory that galby is getting his power because he knows a slpell that allows himself to use the energy from the elements, I.E. Fire, Water, Wind ETC there could b a book under the menoa tree stating some of the forgotten spells, therefore teaching Eragon ways in which he could kill Galby (Jus a theory dnt go bananas nd start rippin me to shreds, i m only young!!! I always thought that when Eragon got transformed into an elf like he had got his power from the Menoa Tree because it took place under the Menoa Tree. Also if that wasn't it I don't think it could be a book full of spells because remember when Brom, was about to die and he had told Eragon a few spells I think that's the magic he needs to do whatever. Also how is he going to complete his training with Oromis, the next book is going to be long if he goes to his training right away.

not for me .. i read eldest in 2 days and one day i was at cedar point.. so i read it in like 1 day and a couple hours.. lol so i'm planning on reading the 3 one in a couple of days.. and i guessed that the next book would be green even before i read anything on it.. lol i just knew that it would be green.. i was thinking either green or silver.. i was hopeing silver cuz a silver dragon would be awsome..

i guessed green because it was the last major color to do, and they are lotr colors but i only read books an hour or 2 a day unless im in the car on a long trip so it takes me a while

i didnt eat tho.. lol i just read it and went to the bathroom and got a drink once and a while but i was never really hungry do i didnt eat

i read Eragon in a day nd Eldest also, the books are infectious!!! I m at skool 4 a nother week thn we break up 4 the summer holz, I think it would be cool if Eragon found his true name under the Menoa Tree, givin him the power he needs to enter the vault of souls and gain an allie also bcso he will have reater power over himself and there for more power to kill Galby!
