Oromis said that he won't ever be able to go into battle again but I think that in the last book in the final battle he will step into battle once again.

i dont think he will.. i think he will die shortly after he tells eragon all the secrets to teach the new riders because he did what he was sapposed to do, stay alive long enough to train the next rider. and he trained eragon so he has no need to live any longer because he is crippled and old, very old.. so i think he will die b4 he has the chance to go to battle

I think he might do something in the last battle....like give Glaedr to eragon so he can have more power???

hmmm.. i dont no about giving eragon glaedr to eragon.. glaedr could "go" to eragon maybe but idk about that.. i think that they will just die peacfully together

I dont think that Glaedr will ever be with Eragon it would just be completely wrong for riders to "share" dragons

well they are both really old so i think that they would just give up at life and together die before they would go into battle at that age.. also they are both crippled in their own ways so they would be almost useless like ormus said before..

i dont think he would just "be healed".. he is crippled in the mind.. remember something was snaped in his mind when he was their prisioner.. he will never be the same again..

This has nothing to do with YODA! Yoda didn't die, he was assimalated into the force. Oromis will continue with Eragon's and eventually Arya's (Elvenwarrior, don't go berserk) training until he dies.

There is so much for him to do in the first place!! He has to heal the Isidar Mithrim, he has to finish his training, he has to steal the green egg, He has to save Katrina and kill the Ra'zac. The egg has to hatch (for Arya). He has to kill Gallbatorix, get his sword, open the vault of souls, kill/defeat Murtagh, find out he's really Brom's son, and so much more that we don't know about!!!

The green egg has been enchanted by the Riders, so that it will only hatch for a Rider. There is no way for it to hatch otherwise.

he's missing a leg!!! The best thing that they can do with their remaining time is to train Eragon (and in the future Arya).

remember how when Eragon turned the dirt into water, he used a lot of energy??? Think of how much energy it would take to create a giant dragon leg from nothing! it would most likely kill even the strongest elf.

His leg is gone! If there was anything to do about it, it would have been done by now.

Elvenwarrior, sandstone is sedimentary rock, which is composed of sand that has formed into rock. You couldn't really make it into sand again with your bare hands. It's technically not sand anymore.

His leg is gone, and I dont think that Oromis or Glaedr will be fixed, but look at it this way, Eregon needs all the help he can get in the last battle, and if that means having them fixed it can happen.

They may end up to live a long time after and train new riders if they are rebuilt we dont know when they will die.

Arya is an old timer!!! A lot of the elves are old timers. Though I think that maybe the elves will go back across the sea like in LOTR...

No, I don't think we should include Arya with the Oldtimers. She is an ambassador for the Elves. She holds no position of power like Islanzadi.
Somehow I do not think CP would use that same line from LotR. It would be too obvious, I really believe he has talent enough to make a huge mistake like that one.

beleive me, no author would want the ending of their book to be the same as some other book. it would just bore his readers, which no author wants
