Lol, okay, I myself was being sarcastic at the beginning of my last post, spikesniper. And technically the god wouldn't need to be solid to shapeshift. He/she could take a ghost-like form of Brom (or 1st Eragon). I dunno... I really shouldn't be discussing theories at 1 in the morning, so g'night all.

I'm thinking (and so are some other people) that he meets the god when he goes inside the V.O.S. That's where the god of death theory came from.

Lol, it felt long typing it out. You couldn't see me, but one eye was on the screen checking for spelling errors, the other eye was on the book, I was hunched over my lap trying not to drop the book, and my hands were flying across the keyboard. (I looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame... Or at least that's what I thought I looked like.) Anyway, it was a rather uncomfortable position, and it felt like it took forever and a day to type all that out.

This is just some random thought, but has anyone ever suggested the fact that Brom's tomb could be the Vault of Souls? I know, it doesn't make much sense, but I was just thinking.

That's possible and really would be interesting, but I dunno. I think it's one of three possibilities: Morgothal, god of Fate/Destiny, or the god of death.

(Oddly I can't remember things I'm supposed to do or people's names, but ask me something about a book and I can probably give you a VERY detailed summary of the entire book...) Of course, I've read Eragon and Eldest like, 30 times each... And I never get tired of them... As a matter of fact, when I'm done rereading the Alex Rider series, I'm going to read Eragon and Eldest...

Yes, but just because it would prove the elves and/or dragons wrong, doesn't mean it can't happen. Lol, I'd actually like that to happen. I'm sorry, but the elves philosophy might seem nice to some, but it's slightly creepy to me, for reasons I can't say, due to rules. Anywho...

Well, I think that the elves would have to be forced into changing their philosophy, which would make for an interesting plot. Elves aren't quite as smart as what we all believe that they are.

Of course they're not, nothing really ever is quite what it seems, lol. I think it would do the elves good to be proven wrong on something of that scale, that way there aren't anymore arrogant *insert word here* like Vanir used to be.

Hhhmmm... Maybe the book is called 'Brisingr' because Eragon meets a god of fire (not necessarily Morgothal).

Either that or Brisingr is part of his name (CP said it was important to him). That's what I think. So Eragon will meet the first Eragon who is a god who tells him his name (they share the same name). So Eragon will go to the VoS and say it and *POOF* something magical will happen. LOL! Or that's what I think could happen. You have to admit it does make sense.

In the first book Brom told Eragon that if half the tales about the Rider's were true, you would expect them to have the power's of a lesser god... Hhmmm... Well, we're getting off subject just a little, but I'm not quite sure what you mean by his name being a sign. Are you saying that when Selena gave birth to Eragon and named him Eragon that that was a sign to Brom that it was his child or not? It's kinda out there but it's always a possibility.
