I think galby keeps gettin power beause i think he draws it from people. I think he is constantly drawing power from the people around him which gives him endless power. What do you think?

ya... i wonder how. maybe you have to kill the oldest rider of your time! vrael was like the oldest at that time and galby kill him, eragon run his sword through oromis and vhala! becuase oromis was already a like old master dragon rider when galby cam to power. he older then galby but vrael was older than him.

even if eragon did kill orimis he wouldn't get much power i mean he could kill orimis in an instant. orimis is weak now remember. but how do u get power by killing. i mean dont u think eragon would get so much power by now because killed alot of urgals at farthen dur. especially durza and then the war at the end of eldest.if he got all the power from all of them he would be super strong.

What the accent over the e? It is in word processors, such as microsoft word. You click on insert, then special character. Then you click on the little arrow, and go down to tahoma and find the é. Then you click insert, and copy and paste it here. I'm sure there is a quicker way, but I do it like that.

i was on another site, and it had picts from the movie, and sum were urgals, i hope the guys get a better imagination, there supposed to have horns. no horns on the urgal actors, and they don't look like urgals.

How does galby keep getting power?


On another thead on this same site came up the possiblity of Galbatorix being a Shade. That would be one explanation on his constantly growing power. Scary but possible.

....but i'm leaning more towards an anciant secret, or old spell. i think oromis knows, but isn't ready to tell eragon. i think he trusts him, but i'm sure they trusted galby at one time. he saw that distruction. he may be affraid the secret will get the best of eragon.

and i am pretty sure it's easyer to pick up a boulder if you strong than if ur week so if you make your self stronger it would make it easier in magic to...

He can't just keep drawing power from people. I mean, it said that your body has its limits, so he can't just keep amasing power. Also, when Murtagh attacked Eragon, it didn't seem as though he drew it from other people because after the battle when Eragon was healing men, he never crossed a body that had no marks on it from death...

What bugs me the most is that Oromis told Eragon he knew where was it that Galbatorix was drawing his power from, but said "Eragon was not ready for that knowledge."

i'm sure he will learn in book 3.

Something around those lines was said in the coversation Murtagh and Eragon have in the Battle of the Burning Plains, I believe Murtagh mentioned that Galbatorix had taught him "ways to manipulate energy."

he says that galby taught him secrets erogon couldn't dream of.
spells the elves wouldn't utter. he then calls them cowards. so the elves do know the spells.
that's why i don't think he has controle over elements.
oromis told eragon if they could controle elements they would have defeated galby a long time ago. this says they do not yet know how. and if galby did that would only even the feild beter, not provide a for sure win.
