Just wanted to get some thoughts/opinions on the movie trailer. I think it looks really good, Saphira's CG is amazing. There were a few things I noticed that weren't quite what I expected and that didn't follow suit with the book. First thing is Saphira's ability to breathe fire: she couldn't do that until the end of the book after the star sapphira was broken, but the trailer shows her breathe fire on two or three different occasions. The Urgals didn't appear to have any horns that I could see either. The Ra`zac looked good. From how they were described in the book, I expected them to look more like the ring wraiths in LOTR, but Fox did good on them. But what was Durza flying on toward the end of the trailer?? Overall I think it was a really good look at the movie.

I think it was a fantastic trailer, the movie looks good from that, but it doesn't seem to follow the book very carefully

they messed up soo much that it seems terrible....

I agree that they r messing it up but, to be honest I expected that.
hopefully it will still be good.

I think it will abe a fantastic movie, but it won't follow the book closely- which is annoying, but still... they did the same with HP and LOTR and they turned out ok.

the thing is most movies made from books are all messed up take Harry potter and CHarlie and the chocolate factory for example. Some parts of the movie takes too much money so they just cut the scene and prelace it with a scene that would cost less.

I don't think they messed up LOTR.
The only big difference is they made Arwen a bigger character in the movie.
They did cut out alot but if you didn't LOTR would be an unfilmable book.
I think it'll turn out OK but what was the purpose of changing the color of Eragons sword and the color of his hair?

they changed her hair to brown/auburn.

I didn't think they strayed to much from the books with LotR (except no Tom Bombadil and the Aragorn & Arwen romance was a lil overdone for cinematic reasons). However, I have noticed a lot of differences from the trailer and I hope they don't butcher the movie. I plan to try to watch and enjoy the movie for what it is because I don't see to much resemblance to the book. (I mean how could it be like the book when most of the characters look different, Saphira looks more like a bird that can breath way too much fire to early than a dragon, no Urgals?, no Solembaum?)

I just think for everyone who has enjoyed the books so far, the movie could be a disappointment; however, if we go into it as just watching a cool new fantsy movie instead of comparing it to the book we may enjoy it more.

actually her hair is redish but WHO CARES ABOUT WHAT COLOR HER HAIR IS i used tob too butthen when i saw the trailer all that went away

The trailer was excellent, I'd see the movie because of the trailer if I hadn't read the books.
