because he is leaving with Arya AFTER he kills Galby.

well u definately didn't, so u can't say that she will die either! and I'm theorizing. mine has more basis than urs and it employs more common-sense (i.e. she can't get on the boat if she dies). urs is more like oppinion.

i think no ushally i can tell if a character in a book/movie is going to do like i knew brom was going to die way before he did and i knew ajihad was going to die and when murtagh "died" i knew he was going to come back and i thik orimis is going to die. unless if she does die i think arya and eragon will be fighting galby the galby kill arya and eragon gets reall angry and avenges her

Ayra ding would make Eragon less likely to be able to kill off Galbatorix, it's a weakness to Eragon, if Eragon brings Ayra with him, Galbatorix will kill her first, to weaken Eragon, and make it that much easier to kill off Eragon

That's a possibility if Galbatorix finds out Eragon's feeling for Ayra. After all, he tried to capture Roran to get to Eragon!!! Why not Ayra if he loves her?

you forget that Galbatorix has more powers then most riders, he could DRILL into Eragon's mind and figure that stuff out, even Saphira couldn't help protect his thoughts.

how are you sure it isn't Ayra's mother? she WILL die, making Eragon weaker in the mind giving Galbatorix the chance to kill Eragon

I dont..personally i think that Arya is not going to be the next dragon rider..I mean it's just not right..it'd blow the entire book out of proportion..Roran still somehow fits for the part..I mean he is good of heart and can lead people well..plus he s not a bad fighter either..he'd be able to learn swordfighting pretty quickly..yea, from that point of view Arya does seem more probable, but well she's the Elves' ambassador and has a zillion other commitments..besides cheifly, she's too old..the age gap would be too big..I mean Oromis said 'every relationship has to be built upon, even a rider and his dragon's'..the age gap would be too big to build a sound relationship..it'd be like marrying a 12 yr old to a 90 yr old

okay, your theory made a lot of sense..but still arya does'nt fit in as a dragon rider..its simply because if she were a dragon rider, she'd be imensely weakened by the loss of the dragon..and there's also the Gedwey Ignasia..Eragon would have seen it while healing her body on the way to The Varden in book 1..but there is ONE thing going for it..The Faolin she mentioned could be a dragon, i mean he had blossomed and enriched the flowers somehow, just like Saphira had turned sand to diamond for Brom's tomb

no he doesn't fit the part! he fits the part of a leader, not a rider. but that is pure oppinion, as is yours. she has other commitments NOW, but she can be replaced in those spots. and the "age gap" has nothing to do with it. Saphira is ancient in her thoughts. so Greenie will be, so it will be balanced. and Oromis isn't talking about age. he's talking about shareing thoughts, feelings, and the like. trusting in each other.

Arya + Eragon = not so gross cuz look at it this way: Arya only ages in her mind! She grows wise, not decrepid. Saphira helps Eragon in the wiseness category.

first of all v mean that she already had a dragon who had died..but yea I just checked, you're right this time..Faolin was the elf who died trying to save her..so the old rider theory is gone...but still .. age grants experience something which is not granted by having an ancient disposition in ur mind..Arya would indeed be too old to change so quickly for a dragon and besides the dragon would make her too powerful...then they could defeat Galby without a sweat

thank you on the first point. on the second point, she has experience, but experience does not make her unfit to be a rider and it isn't like she can't adapt. her age has nothing to do with her ability to be a rider.

her "being too powerful if she was to become a rider" is a common misconception. we see her as SOOOO powerful because we only get an idea of her power from when she spars with Eragon while he is in Farthan Dur, BEFORE he is made as strong as an elf. As a rider, the only things that she would gain would be the ability to cast more powerful spells, using her dragon's power. she would not become physically stronger.

she said it herself...she could stand on the gates of Vroengard and contact him in Du Veldenwarden..and that is FAR and not to mention that she'd have to peirce through hundreds of older spells laid down for protection..THAT is what makes me think that she is strong

I have a question which has popped to mind about Ayra and her being more powerful if she became a Rider;
The premise on which this discussion is based is that as of the end of Eldest, Ayra is powerful.
Well she is powerful in magic. All the elves are. If she was to become a Rider, why would she become tenfold more powerful?
To the best of my knowledge, we do not learn of any of the other elven Riders to be invincible or a threat to humankind when they became Riders.

I just feel whatever attributes she has would be shared with her dragon. I do not believe that would make her the MOST powerful in Alagaesia. This would defeat the whole purpose of the story and Eragon's very own existance.

On the otherhand, I do not think she wouyld die, but as to this, I am not sure. I keep coming to remind Angela's prophecy. She could not see if Eragon's love would come to a happy ending. So it can go either way! At least that's what I think!!

but if she DOES die, i won't be like "YAY SHE'S DEAD!!!" i don't want her to die, but she prolly will die...
