 Eragon the elf (vault of souls)Ive just had a brainstorm ppl!!! Maybe eragon the elf will merge his soul with the normal eragon, making him much more powerful!

But wouldnt their consciences merge too? Remeber when Oromis said that it would be an abomination to have multiple consciences in a body?, that is the same thing, unless you mean just their powers merge...

You might be. I think he opens the vault of souls and the elven eragon comes and gives him great power. I also think that Brom might help with that.

Hey Shur'tugal224 I had the same idea, but mine didn't include the dragons...just Eragon and the elf Eragon. I was kind of hoping it would happen even though it is suppose to be an abomination. Hey what if Eragon is like the reincarnation of the first Eragon? Of course he wouldn't know it, but that would mean that Eragon already has the soul of the elf Eragon and maybe opening the vault of souls will I dunno awaken the elf Eragons part of the soul and all he would have all the memories and skill and talent of the elf Eragon.
But that is just my opinion. But you have to admite it would be kind of cool. P.S. It does say that it would be an abomination, but if all hope is lost and his power is insufficient then does it really matter? Shur`tugal224 i think you are right cuz that would make him more powerful than galby, but does Galby do the same thing idk. So yah if the elf eragon and his dragon merge powers with Eragon and Saphira then it might be different. Also there is the treat of Murtagh helping Galby and Eragon losing. So i hope that he has enough power to defeat two riders if the last dragon rider doesn`t get strong enough fast. But this is just my opinion on that.

you might be right, shurtugal224. but i think the vault of souls is how galby and murtagh are getting so powerful, theyre drawing energy from it. but when eragon opens it, it kills all the souls. thats why its only in great need.

So maybe murtagh and galbatorix are getting power or souls from the VOS, but are they able to control what souls they get? I think that will be the difference when Eragon opens it. He'll get a soul or souls that will mean something and be important.

its not the idenity (sp?) of the souls, they're drawing power from them. like eragon did with those ants in du weldenvarden, and the half dead horse in the burning plains.

Yeah, maybe. Perhaps all the energy of a person is just there soul, and when their body dies, their energy/soul goes to the vault?

I think Galby is actually taking the energy from people around him but only a little from each person and because he is in such a huge city no one will notice.
What about eragon goes to the Vault of Souls to talk to them??? what if vroenguard is the rock of kuthain, and kuthain is like a god or something and vroenguard is his home (rock), and the vault of souls is this god (kuthain)? just a wild theory.
