There's tons of name paralles. Arget is similar to the Latin word for 'silver,' used to form the Periodic Table symbol for silver, Ag.

yeaa but the most obvious coincidence is... Eragon and friends are speaking English!! lol

Remember the dwarf said that "father" is actually addopted for "farthen", it's a nice word play but it makes me think that Alagaesia trully speaking English. (I don't read the translated version so I don't know how they translate that sentence to my languange..)

like most people he likely based it off other languages. Tolkien was a fan of scandanavian mythology and the language and his books were largely based off that.

Tolkien was a freakin genius. He was a language professor at Oxford and helped write the Oxford English Dictionary several times.

If you want something just way out there freaky think about this. On the Periodic Table Bromine and Selenium(Brom and Selena) are next to each other. I found this out when I was browsing through another forum. Could this be a freaky coincedence or could CP have done this on purpose to give us the names of Eragon's true heritage.

Whoa, thats pretty weird. Cp must be a pretty smart guy, however this could be coincidence. when I have to write short stories for Language Arts, sometimes I make up names off of things I see.

Think about this dragonlad4. That cool research, the whole of the Paolini family worked on. At least the immediate family. His mother, sister, and father. I read that on some Eragon website. That's what I called teamwork, with a capital "T".
