I think the dragon riders will die out. As a lot of characters in the book have hinted at. "Like it would be a terrible way for the last dragon rider to live. And King Hogathar said that the dragon riders were over. If Saphiria mates than unless she has a female its over because her and Eragon will leave Algaesia forever, with another rider and their dragon.

I hope they'll grow again. But I don't really know if I think that either will happen, I don't really have an opinion on the issue.

i don't think they will die out. if they get a few raised berfore leaving the elves will be able to help watch out for them, and guid them. or they could send some of their kids back. tell them where to go. but i'm sure they wouldn't travel alone. they could bring a rider with them.

The series is looking like it will get an ending like The Chronicles of Prydain: The High King , or The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King , where there are a lot of sad goodbyes and you HATE the author for it.

if you remember on pg 443 of "Eragon", Hrothgar says, "The time of the Riders has passed, Eragon. They will never rise again---not even if Galbatorix's other eggs were to hatch."

I beleive that Eragon, Arya and the remaining elves that weren't wiped out fighting galby will leave alagasia like on pg 81 of "Eragon" which is his dream. i also think that the two remaining dragons saphira and the third egg will go to the home of the elves with them and that there the dragons will rise again.
