The passage when Murtagh fights Eragon in the second book:

This confrontation with Murtagh makes something terribly clear about Eragon; His power is insufficient. He cannot do the feats that Murtagh and Galbatorix can, and without something to tip the balance of the good vs. the bad, Eragon will be unable to conquer the empire. This is a situation that seems to occur in Star Wars, where Luke Skywalker is unable to defeat the Emperor. It may also suggest that Murtagh may overthrow Galbatorix when his true alliegence is revealed. The only problem with this theory is that Galbatorix controls Thorn and Murtagh. Therefore, The Vault of Souls may reveal the name of the ancient language which Brom said "It would be a word of incredible power, something by which you could control the entire language and those who use it. People have long searched for it, but no one has ever found it." CP puts items into his books for a purpose. It is no coincidence that Eragon learned that there was a name for the secret language. The first one may be a riders blade eather the first rider(eragon) or another ancent riders blade how is he to fight the entire empire barhanded and a few spells?

second. He may already know his true name because the elfs are all about magic so it will take eragons real name to open it.

I think you may be correct in thinking Eragon will learn the name of the Ancient Language, however, before reading your post I thought that maybe Eragon would learn Galbatorix's real name and therefore gain power over him and be able to destroy him. A thought keeps coming to my mind. Eragon has to have some mysterious, noble and powerful lineage. But I cannot seem to pinpoint exactly where & why this hunch keeps bugging me.

That green egg shell Eragonfound at that mountain in Du weldenvarden

Could have been Vraels or some other powerful dragons egg and he needs it to get them out of the vault of sauls as its what it was born from so reborn from!

Another thought,
Could this vault be in Ureabean and its were the green egg is and Eragon is the entrance password!
But of course the rock of Kuthian would then be Ureabean.

i really don't think so.
.on needing it at the vault. all he needs is his name. the egg was only found in order to put an impact as to the loss for both sides. the sorrow in that place will always remain. and taking that eggshell would be like grave robbing.
.. as for it being the new dragon. the third egg is extreamly guarded. even if someone got to it they couldn't just climb the rock. and i think the elves or varden, or someone would have known if it had been stolen.

ok maybe not the third egg but could the third egg not hatch in empire and could the green dragon be wild

well it could hatch. but not be wild.
..it was given to be a riders egg. which means, the spell was said over it to keep it from hatching until the right person tuches it.

When Gleadr is talking to Eragon and Saphira he talks about the soul and the body. Why would he talk about that if it wasnt part of something.

you know, Glaedr said that when the flesh is destroyed, so is the soul... so you can not revive someone who is dead and I think that it could be some so-called "dead" Rider emerges back into the open (like Oromis)

What if it is possible to bring ppl back from the dead?? I mean what if you took one sould of a peroosn(and in this case a soul of a dragon and Rider) and "sacrificed" those souls in "exchange" for the others???? kinda like if Oromis and Glaedr gave up their soulds in exchange for Eragon(1st) and his dragon and then they would be invincible!!! Eragon defeats Murtagh nad Eragon(1st) defeats Galby.

1. There would be energy lost in the transfer, so it still woldn't work. 2. It's the Vault of Souls, not the Exchange of Souls. 3. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!
