Who here thinks that the Urgals are really good allies, and who thinks that they will turn their backs on the varden?

i think that some of them are good allies because they are good fighters because they are verry strong and they are fighting for land so they can build new homes for their families so i think they will fight even harder to win back their land

well i read the book in 2 days so i think i missed alot of the important little things.....

It seems to me when I read material fast i just end up missing too much of it so I try reading at a medium pace where I can understand and think about what I am reading

What are the giant urgals called again?

they are called kull and they are about 8 feet tall and are as powerful as about 3 - 4 men

For some reason I had it in my head that they were called the Knull LOL, thanks... Galabatorix was stupid for losing there trust because they are VEEERRRYYY powerfull allies

well he actully didnt lose their trust.. the shade duraz had them under a spell making them all work together and when eragon kills him the curse is lifted and they find out that they were used and they turn against him

how much you pick up from a book depends on how thouroghly you read it

the urgals wouldnt be allowed to help the Varden, to many people would disapprove

they didnt dissaprove at the end of eldest.. what makes u think they will now? its more people to help, the better chance to defeat the empire

The problem is I dont own Eregon, or Eldest so I have to rent it out at the library and there is still a waiting list for eldest from when it came out so I only got to read through Each one once. This forum really is a good way for me to get alot of those little details even without owning the books

I still don't understand the urgals.. From what Eragon found from Nar Garzhvog's mind didn't explain what made them do heartless massacre in Yasuac, I don't know what kind of 'nobility' their race possess. Yes Nar Garzhvog is a royal blood and a brilliant commander, but what's happening inside an Urgal-ish mind still left unexplained.

Was their mass-killing also controlled by Durza? How far did Durza's spell affected them ?

i think Durza's spell must have controlled them a lot, otherwise they wouldnt have banded togeth, i mean he made them go against their nature there

the real question concerning urgals is, what role will they play in empire

I think the role in that they will play in the empire is just to be a major asset to the varden in all the big battles (assuming there is more than one).

when you come to think of it being enslaved is pretty much working for free (only against your will) but they are still working for free for the Varden just they chose to do so

think of it this way, they're getting payed in revenge

They did say that they didn't want anything they just wanted justice for what the empire did to them (it wasnt worded that way but you get the just of it)

I think they dont sound like that bad of creatures, their customs and courtesies are a little different but i think they are misunderstood

Maybe they could live by the ocean or Eragon will have to use a spell to summon a whole lot of water out of the ground like he did in Eragon.And I don't think he'll be powerful enough to do that. So I guess the ocean then. Also another little point when the Elves first crossed over to Alageasia the Urgals had followed so does that mean they are evil by pursueing them or do you think they were running away from whatever the elves were leaving for?

if the urgals lived by the ocean.. i still wouldnt solve the water problem cuz i dont no about you, but u have drank salt water b4 and it is discusting.. you cant drink salt water if you are dying of dehydration because it makes you ever more thirster (sp)

in Eldest it says that there is wells that the bandits use in teh Hadarac, the urgals could construct wells also, i mean there is alot of water in the hadarac but its just deep underground

yes, and theres not enough watar redialy avaible for animals so they cant hunt, i mean what if the urgals went to another land? There could be another land by land from alageasia

why not just kill the lot of them, i mean it saves the money of deporting them
